GEORGE BECK – NZCLS, AMNZIS

George received a New Zealand Certificate in Land Surveying from Carrington Tech in 1989. He has worked both in private practice and Local Government for over 20 years gaining a great deal of experience in Land Surveying and the Resource Management Act.

 

George is a survey technician and a member of the NZ Institute of Surveyors.


George’s main area of expertise is in subdivision; liaising with clients and their various consultants and Council, surveying, writing reports and dealing with all aspects of the subdivision process through to title.

When George is away from the office his main interest is his family and friends and he has a keen interest in the latest technologies.

 


 

Thomas MacCarthy-Morrogh

Thomas started work as a chainman in 1986 for a Bay of Islands survey firm. Over a short period he worked his way up to a position of Survey Technician.

 

Work duties for the 12 years he was with the Bay of Islands firm consisted of large subdivision engineering setout, rural subdivisions, and road upgrading topographical surveys.

 

Moving to Auckland in 1997 he started work at A I Bates & Associates as a Survey Technician with duties encompassing all facets of Urban surveying with a general specialization in setout of construction works.

In 2004 the opportunity to purchase A I Bates and Associates arose which he completed along with the two other current directors, Stephen Menzies and George Beck.

 

Married in 2000 and now with 2 young children he enjoys Golf and E-gaming.
